menab0t Posted November 29, 2006 Report Share Posted November 29, 2006 Hi I am new to Retrospect and am using version 5.0 on OS 9. My company has been backing up to tape for ages but now we have a NAS device (an Infrant ReadyNAS NV) which we want to back up to instead. I am using retrospect to back up a range of computers over a network...the server seems to be able to connect to them all and everything seems fine on that side of things. I have tried to run the server a few times and although a backup file is created it seems it is empty...the log says no files need to be copied and then that the backup job has completed successfully. On other occasions I have tried it and it simply backs up the first computer in the list of computers to back up and then for all the others it says the same as before: "No files need to be backed up" and then that the job was successful.
