ChuckS
Drive M: is a "virtual" drive created by Exchange as part of the Installable File System. It's primary function, as I understand it, is to provide developers a quick way to import message and other data from Exchange databases. Retrospect does not back up M:. Retrospect 5.6 does attempt to create a "snapshot" of the drive, but the snapshot is empty- there is no actual data on M:; any data shown there is merely extrapolated from the existing Exchange databases. The bottom line here is that Retrospect does not actually attempt to back up the phantom data on drive M:.
MacUnix
Well not sure what this means then if it doesn't backup the M: drive. Where did "3582" files come from? I'm just trying to understand this. Script "Weekly" finished a "Normal" backup to "Week E" on "10/13/2002 4:12" "3582" files ("3717" KB) on "My Computer/Exchange (M:)" were backed up in "605" seconds. TIA, Keith
