Workgroup server 5.1 thinks license code is expired

I am trying to re-configure an existing Workgroup backup server running

5.1 (on Windows). I quit the running server to inspect the time setting in the OS

control panel, and when I relaunched the server it requested the license

code. When I entered that code, hyphens and all, it responded that the

code was invalid (expired)...


Huh? Now what? Are retrospect licenses set to expire?


Could this be why the server clock was set to 2026?

Well, what do ya know....


I set the year back to 2026 and it launches fine. Next I'll take up the "why it can't find my computer" question.
