SchoKJ
Using Desktop Workgroup I created a full backup set (C: and D: partitions) and disaster recovery CD on my Win 4.0 Server PC. I then proceeded to test the disaster recovery by booting from the DR CD and restoring the backup set (C: boot partition and D:). After the process was completed, I tested my PC applications to verify that everything went well. Unfortunately on my most important applications I received an error relating to OLE. My initial question is how could this have happened? I did a full backup and then a full restore. I thought that process would guarantee that the system is back to its original state. Other applications seem to be working, but I am skeptical now. Can you help? Did I do something wrong during the backup that messed up the OLE connection? Thanks for you help. SchoKJ
The application is Wonderware's InTouch software. Among other things, this app is an ActiveX container and the error I get is when I open a display with an ActiveX object on it.
