edrake2000 Posted April 4, 2002 Report Share Posted April 4, 2002 I am running Retrospect server 5.6 with the patch to 5.7 inwindows 2000 installed on a Dell PE 2500 with a Spectalogic 2000 treefrog 15 tape library. On backup, when it needs a new tape in the middle of an execution, it searches for the next tape by name (even though it doesn't yet exist). It will look through all the tapes in the library, and when it can't find it, it keeps on looking. It doesn't stop and ask for new media. I have to hit the stop button, and cancel that session. The next session it then names a blank tape and backs up normally. Also on restore, it will often not find the tape until I use the device configuration tool and check all the media in the library.
