File is not a catalog or is heavily damage

Recommended Posts

I am getting the above error message when trying to access a backup set. What can be done regarding this? Do I have to recreate/repair the whole backup set?

Also, is there any suggestions on the most effective ways to use Retrospect, like how often to recycle tapes or to archive tapes? I have one backup set that has been running for more than a year and need to find out a more effecient way to use Retrospect.

Thank you!!!
