Guest
Ok, I've used retrospect on workstations and have been very impressed with the value and performance. I thought I would give it a try at the server (NT 4.0 sp6a fully patched stand alone) level. I downloaded the server trial, (logged in as administrator) and proceeded to launch the install. I received the following error : Retrospect 5.6 Installer Error 1: Failed to install ISKernel Files. Make sure you have appropriate privileges on this machine. The the installation fails. As I've said, I'm logged in as administrator have actually created new accounts with every privilege available and still receive this same error. Any Ideas? Thanks, Joe
IrenaS
Are you installing from the CD or from a download? Try copying the installer to the hard drive of the computer. Do you get the error on more than one computer? Have you tried downloading a new installer? What version are you installing on the computer? Is it Workgroup? Server?
