ericdolson
On one of the computers at our shop, I have recently gotten a high number (31,000) of errors when backing up. All are a "File "xxxx": miscompare at data offset xxxx, path, ..." This computers used to back up fine. All of my other computers back up successfully with Retrospect, same program, same back up device. I have reinstalled the client software on the "bad" computer. Repaired permissions. I have deleted the back up files and catalogue files to start fresh. The problem persists, and is very consistent. Any ideas?
Mayoff
That computer could have a hard disk problem or a network problem. Corrupted data is being sent to the backup computer. The files on the backup are not identical to the original files.
