Lennart_T
That happened to me a few times. Stop the backup. Under Tools, recreate/rebuild the catalog file, not just "update". When that finishes, start the backup.
legacy
Thank you for your reply!!! Under tools i see " repair catalog" . when i click on that there are many options-- which option to choose. recreate from tapes, disks, removable, repair file backup set . the pics are attached? this daily backup goes to a NAS . If i choose all disks.. i am told to choose all disks or last disks (pic - 3)? Please suggest? http://postimg.org/image/e4lcs0shh/ http://postimg.org/image/bgqcdoxal/ http://postimg.org/image/hlhur0pe5/ Note: The backup to the tapes is working fine. only the backup that we do to the NAS server is getting stuck up by the above error. Lennart_T
You should choose "Last disk".

Lennart_T
I mean the catalog file that Retrospect creates and uses for every backup set you create and use. It looks like you need to recreate/rebuild the catalog file for the daily backup.
legacy
when i go to recreate a catalog and choose the folder retrospect catalog nothing shows up ...... when i access it from retrospect tool function (first pic). but when i open the retrospect catalog folder... the catalogs files are there (second pic) any ideas as how to proceed. do you think i need to repair ? Thanks a lot for your help http://postimg.org/image/dpkd9dven/ http://postimg.org/image/oovncqfdx/ http://postimg.org/image/bgqcdoxal/
Lennart_T
In your first picture, you should navigate to the NAS (and the actual contents of you backup). In your last picture, you should select "Recreate ..." (and not just "Repair ...").
