LTO-6 not recognized - LTO-4 working fine

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

we wanted to upgrade our backup-station (Retrospect 12 on Mac under OSX ElCapitan, Atto Thunderlink SH-2068, SAS LTO-4) with a Qunatum LTO-6 HH Model C (shows to be compatible on the device list) - but the LTO-6 is not recognized as device in Retrospect.

I attach a screenshot (in German) to show  that the Hardware is recognized by the Mac - but not by the software.

Anyone had the same issue/idea for a solution?

Thanks, Andreas

How do you have the drive physically attached to your mac mini exactly?

What interfaces and/or adapters?

The reason Pete asked bobagentur those questions seems to have had something to do with this post, although it came earlier than speleo14's thread.
