bardolino
Hi all, I've been using Retrospect for years, my hard drive just died so I installed a new one and put a fresh copy of Lion on it and re-installed Retrospect 11.5.3 (103). Under Storage devices I can see my AIT-4 drive and library fine. I can load the tape that I need through. When I try to back up a volume, I'm getting the Message Waiting for Sony AIT-4 DC With that message in my activities window I check the Storage Devices and my AIT-4 drive reports that it's ready. What am I missing? Thanks for any help.
Lennart_T
How is the AIT drive connected? Via a PCI-card? Or any other special hardware? If "yes", have you installed the card driver software?
bardolino
It's connected via SCSI. Drivers are all working, I can see the drive and load/unload tapes. Does the "DC" at the end mean something significant? I thought maybe data compression? I can't find anything that seems to make a difference.
