Scillonian 52 Report post Posted May 13, 2015 You asked about the -5000 error in the Mac sub-forum in July 2012. (http://forums.retrospect.com/index.php?/topic/148085-maperror-unknown-mac-error-5000/?hl=5000) From that thread and another I found on the forum it appears to be triggered by a permissions problem on the target volume. The -1002 (and also -1001 and -1003) error is what it says it is — the OS of the target volume returned an error code which Retrospect is not aware of. On a Windows system I would look in the Event Logs of the target to see if there were any clues to what cased the error.
