karma
(Specs in signature.) I have a Windows 7 client and Retrospect Server is telling me it's unavailable or busy. On the client machine, the Retro Control Panel tells me:Status: Retrospect Client is off Well, that's dandy - I didn't turn it off. But in any case, I can't see anything to turn it on. There are no buttons, no switches, am I missing something? Nor can I seem to locate any documentation on this. I can only find pictures of legacy client interfaces, that have radio buttons for on/off.
Lennart_T
The on/off "switch" is a checkbox now, at the bottom of my screenshot.
karma
OK, thanks. I guess one of the problems I was having was that checkbox was grayed out. There was no way to turn it on. I rebooted the PC (twice) and it fixed itself somehow.
DPBicket
I too have this problem, that the Retrospect client is turned off, not by me, and there is no visible way of turning it on. Restarting and trusting to luck that something unknown will magically make it restart seems a bit unprofessional. Can't Retrospect personnel respond to this question? (9.0.0 - 187 on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update).
