karma
Hi, I'm using the setup in my sig, recently upgraded from Retrospect 6.1. This seems like a very minor bug, but since I've puzzled over it, I'll report it. Or maybe it's something on my side... I have it configured to send me emails about *everything* at the moment, as I get used to it. I have a number of backup scripts scheduled to happen at: 12:30 am 1:00 am 1:30 am 2:00 am 2:30 am ... etc. All after midnight. So, the first one is scheduled for 12:30 am, then every half hour. For some reason, any scripts that are between 12 midnight and 1 am send the email with an incorrect time stamp of PM, not AM. I watched last night and the script does send the email at the end of it, around 12:30 AM, and I can then receive the email right away, but it comes in with a date/time stamp of PM (12 hours in the future). All of the other scripts with the exception of the first one, send me an email with a correct time stamp when the backup script completes. Here's the contents of the e-mail (from the first script): Log for Script: MacPro12 - Snow Lep (Media Verify)... Date: 11/15/2014 + Normal backup using MacPro12 - Snow Lep (Media Verify) at 11/15/2014 12:30 AM To Backup Set OWC(3TB)3-111014... - 11/15/2014 12:30:00 AM: Copying MacPro 12 - SnowLep 11/15/2014 12:35:18 AM: Snapshot stored, 253.5 MB 11/15/2014 12:36:12 AM: Execution completed successfully Remaining: 2 files, 8 KB Completed: 304 files, 494.7 MB Performance: 357.5 MB/minute Duration: 00:06:12 (00:04:48 idle/loading/preparing) - 11/15/2014 12:36:12 AM: Verifying OWC(3TB)3-111014 11/15/2014 12:36:17 AM: Execution completed successfully Completed: 304 files, 494.7 MB Performance: 9892.8 MB/minute Duration: 00:00:05 (00:00:01 idle/loading/preparing) 11/15/2014 12:36:18 AM: Script "MacPro12 - Snow Lep (Media Verify)..." completed successfully As you can see, it starts at 12:30 am and finished at 12:36 am. Here's the header from the e-mail: Return-path: <me@redacted.com> Envelope-to: me@redacted.com Delivery-date: Fri, 14 Nov 2014 21:36:11 -0800 Received: from pool-108-53-84-162.nwrknj.fios.verizon.net ([108.53.84.162]:62056 helo=new-host-2.home) by ina.lunarmania.com with esmtpa (Exim 4.82) (envelope-from <me@redacted.com>) id 1XpW1r-0004Pc-Dz for me@redacted.com.com; Fri, 14 Nov 2014 21:36:11 -0800 Date: Sat, 15 Nov 14 12:36:18 -0500 Now, I'm on a shared server, which is on the west coast at -0800, and I'm on the east coast at -0500 (just to explain). So, it seems the server received it at the correct time: Sent at 12:36 AM my time (EST), server shows 21:36 (PST) However, the thing that seems wrong is the Date field: it should be 00:36:18 -0500, right? I would assume that Retrospect is setting the Date field, but I could be wrong. Here's the header from the next script at 1:06 am, which *does* get stamped at the correct time: Return-path: <me@redacted.com> Envelope-to: me@redacted.com Delivery-date: Fri, 14 Nov 2014 22:06:48 -0800 Received: from pool-108-53-84-162.nwrknj.fios.verizon.net ([108.53.84.162]:62102 helo=new-host-2.home) by ina.lunarmania.com with esmtpa (Exim 4.82) (envelope-from <me@redacted.com>) id 1XpWVU-0004ug-Nf for me@redacted.com; Fri, 14 Nov 2014 22:06:48 -0800 Date: Sat, 15 Nov 14 1:06:55 -0500 Sent at 1:06 AM my time (EST), server shows 22:06 (PST), Date is correct at 1:06.
