sg360
Running Retrospect 8.5 Server on a Win 2008 x64 Server with 16GB of RAM We are attempting to create a completely new catalog for a 7TB data backup to a remote NAS The process isn't running smoothly, so we were curious if there was a catalog size limit that could be hampering its progress. If not, is there somewhere else we should be looking?
Mayoff
What type of problem do you see during the backup? Retrospect really doesn't have a catalog file size limit outside of the file system 2TB file size limit. Never seen a 2TB catalog file though. We do have an 8TB limit per backup set member, but you can have unlimited members in the set.
sg360
Is that 8TB limit lifted in version 9? We're going disk to disk on a 12TB volume.
Mayoff
Retrospect 9 limits each member to 8TB's. You can have an unlimited number of members on a single disk/partition
