toshy Posted April 23, 2014 Report Share Posted April 23, 2014 I've created a new parallels PVM using Windows7 but cannot install the Windows Client version 9.0 (or 8.5) although I had no problems installing on my earlier XP PVM. I consistently get an error message as in the screenshot below saying that it cannot find Data1.cab in a temporary folder, even though the file appears in the relevant installer folder. Why is a temp folder being created - and having created it why can't the installer find the file? I have had no similar problems installing other applications/drivers etc. Windows Security essentials in installed but not running, in case there was a conflict.
