Retrospect 10 Mac User Guide - where are the images?

Recommended Posts

When I browse the Retrospect 10 for Mac User Guide in Firefox or Safari, http://www.retrospect.com/documentation/user_guide/mac10, I don't see any of the images, only the "alt" text for the image in Firefox or a question mark icon (presumably for a broken image link) in Safari.

For example, in Fundamentals, the first image on the section should be in How Retrospect Works/Sources. However, all I see in its place is the text 02fig01.tiff.

The corresponding HTML is: <img alt="02fig01.tiff" border="0" src="http://download.retrospect.com/docs/mac/v10/user_guide/img/au/02fig01_fmt.jpeg'>http://download.retrospect.com/docs/mac/v10/user_guide/img/au/02fig01_fmt.jpeg" />

So there's one (trivial) problem evident already, the alt text names a TIFF image, but the src URL points to a JPEG image.

When I try to access the src URL, http://download.retrospect.com/docs/mac/v10/user_guide/img/au/02fig01_fmt.jpeg,I get redirected to the Retrospect home page. I tried various guesses at the correct image URL, but without success.

Anyone else seeing the same problem? Does it work with any browsers?

Peter

Sorry about that! The issue was only for the Australian version of the site (/au), which we recently released. We've fixed the image links now. The discrepancy between the alt tag and src tag in the HTML is actually an artifact from the FrameMaker conversion, as is the formatting for various sections of the current User's Guide. We're steadily correcting these. Thanks for pointing this out.
