erikendswithak
Yesterday I backed up a folder and when I checked the folder structure I noticed several folders missing in Retrospect 9.0.2. It was missing 320GB of media. I did a backup again, using manual file selection I selected the missing folders. When I clicked start it went through it quickly and didn't backup anything. I then went into disk utility and verified the hard drive. I also put the folders in a new folder and tried that. Neither of these worked. I attached a picture of the missing folders.
Lennart_T
What kind of filter did you use? "All files", "All files except cache files"? Or something else?
erikendswithak
I always choose manual file selection and select all files within the folder.
Lennart_T
That is not what I meant. Look up "Filter" in the manual. (It use do be called "Selector" in older versions.)
erikendswithak
There were no filters or rules applied when backing up.
Don Lee
manual file selection ONLY works with the restore "assistant", AND you execute directly from the "assistant". If you try to store the script to be run later, your manual selection is lost. This isn't wonderful, but that's the way it works as of 10.1.
