error -519

Recommended Posts

I'm running Retrospect 8.2 on a Mac OSX 10.4 to 10.7 environment.

I have some 5 Mac clients working on a ethernet network LAN.

I keep on receiving "error -519" as Retrospect server loses track of its clients and says they're no longer available , "can't connect to volume".

As a matter of fact, the client are accessibile if I add as new sources again.

What is the matter with Retrospect?

Are the computers logged out before the backup starts as there is a known bug if the machine is sitting at the log-in screen? If so try having a user logged in when doing the backup. The other possibility is that the computer is going to sleep and not waking up for the backup. If this is the case try setting the sleep timer to Never and make sure to uncheck the "Put hard drive to sleep" option.
