flickerfly
I have a linux production server that I cloned to be a development server. The development server hums along great, but I can't back it up because it complains with error -506 duplicate activator code. How can I adjust retrospect to allow me to backup the cloned version also? Thank you!
flickerfly
I ended up uninstalling and re-installing, but I'd like something I could easily script that just does some config changes. I don't yet know if I can automate this part of the cloning process to be able to maintain the Retrospect connection next time I do a clone. I may need to entirely uninstall, reinstall and reconnect the machine to the scripts each time I do a clone. Any advice on automating this would be most appreciated. mauricev
I believe the activator code is stored in the retrospect.state file. I see that it is located in /var/log/. All you need to do is change the state file on the cloned computer to its state file.
