graphictype
I guess Retrospect isn't backing up the Mac 'hidden' ._ files, after each daily backup I have a log with over 3,000 errors, all are the "._filename" files. Otherwise, the 'real' files are backing up normally. Any idea on how to either make Retrospect backup these hidden files, or have Retrospect ignore the hidden files? Lennart_T
What, exactly, is the error message and file name?
graphictype
I get about 3,000 of these errors daily, they are all "._filename" which are Mac 'hidden' files. Any way to just skip these files during backups? *File "/Volumes/iMacTera2-1/WY_Wylde and Sons/TNT/88935_TNT_Vol22Issue02_Hyundai/Tip:Spotlight/._Special Service Tool Spotlight.docx": can't read, error -1002 ( unknown Mac OS error) MapError: unknown Mac error -5000
Lennart_T
-5000 is a file sharing permissions error. You should mount the shared volume with a user and password that has full permissions to all files.
