steininger
I use iBackup Drive for Mac as my offsite back up target. When connected to my back up server machine, it shows up as a share volume at mac.ibackup.com, connected as https. I have tried to connect to it via Media Sets > Add > Share using http, https, afp, smb, but no love. Anyone have a suggestion ?

I know with v8, even though I had volumes on the desktop, if it wasn't via the major protocols (afp or smb) I couldn't add it. CallMeDave
even though I had volumes on the desktop Mounting a shared Source volume on the Desktop of the machine hosting the Retrospect Engine is unrelated to, and will often interfere with, normal operation of Retrospect for Macintosh. When connected to my back up server machine, it shows up as a share volume at mac.ibackup.com "Shows up" where? How? Do you use the IBackup for Mac application in some capacity to access the drive without Retrospect? I have tried to connect to it via Media Sets > Add > Share using http, https, afp, smb, Is this product marketed as providing access via afp or smb? If not, seems like a waste of time trying to get Retrospect to do it this way. If so, what is the exact URL you used? Does the same URL work in the "Connect to server" dialog of OS X ? but no love What happens when you try?

Cheers, Jon Thanks Jon. I was afraid of that. Is there no longer support for ftp as well? If not, seems I will need to move to another offsite store to move on with Retrospect. Retrospect 9/10 support WebDAV volumes in addition to afp and smb/cifs.
steininger
Retrospect 9/10 support WebDAV volumes in addition to afp and smb/cifs. Can indeed connect to my iBackup volume from Retrospect 10 using webDAV as per http://www.ibackup.com/webdav_mac.htm Tried executing a test backup script. Back up fails with lots of error -1020 and the occasional error -1002. Nothing is simple it seems.
