ThePorge Posted October 5, 2012 Report Share Posted October 5, 2012 I've been backing up to a Drobo with Thorough verification on. Today I actually go to pull a file and I get a error 102. Can anyone tell if this is a hardware error of something with software? twickland Posted October 5, 2012 Report Share Posted October 5, 2012 A -102 error is typically a hardware error. I would expect it to show up in backups as well as restores, though perhaps the file you're attempting to restore is located on a problematic area of the disk. What type of media set are you using: disk or file? If disk, where is the catalog stored? With a disk media set, Retrospect really wants the catalog and the data to reside on different volumes. ThePorge Posted October 8, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 8, 2012 Media set is on a Drobo (Disk Array). The Catalog is stored on the Server Hard Drive that is running Retrospect. I'm getting no errors on the nightly back-ups. At the bottom of the errors in the log it says that it can't access the Snapshot.
