FrankSyred
Hi, I have just upgrade to Single Server 7.7.620. I was using a much older version on a different PC. Now I have the software on aserver with SBS 2011. Regulary I get error messages in the log liles when I am running backup scripts. Sometimes the backup caries on and completes correctly. However, sometimes it stops part way through. The message below is typical of the message I get. Does anyone know what the problem may be caused by? soctSetThread: socket thread now 0x2f34 SMTP: opening addr 192.168.100.3 smtpOpen: connecting using port 6,400 soccOpen: socket send buffer size is 65,536 soccOpen: socket recv buffer size is 65,536 soccCallback: kNetSelectorConnect failed, error 10060 smtpOpen: connection failed using port 6,400, trying port 19,202 soccOpen: socket send buffer size is 65,536 soccOpen: socket recv buffer size is 65,536 soccCallback: kNetSelectorConnect failed, error 10060 smtpOpen: connection failed using port 19,202 smtpSend: "QUIT" soctPreDispose: maximum queue depth was
Lennart_T
Do you have e-mail notification turned on? Have you set up e-mail notification correctly? Can you send (and receive) without error?
FrankSyred
Yes I have the e-mail notification switched on but I don't seem to have it setup correctly so I do get send errors. The details for setting up the email notification are somewhat vague. Is there a kb artical wheich explains it. I am using MS Outlook with MS Exchange

You (or your server manager) should know the details. TIP: If you don't use the standard SMTP port (25), you should write the port in the SMTP address field like this: 192.168.100.3:1234 where 1234 is the desired port number. FrankSyred
Currently, I have disabled the e-mail notification as I need to work out the correct settings for this. So I think that has fixed the errors problem.
