Backup hangs on VssWStoreMetadata for Component: Registry

Early in the afternoon, I submitted the following to support. Thought it also worth checking here to see if you guys have experienced such:

 

 

Recently - not exactly sure what day - the backup of my Exchange 2007 server running on Windows 2008 started hanging. I have turned up the logging, the following is where it hangs. I end up having to kill retrospect on the backup server, and have generally been having to reboot the Exchange server because it becomes so unresponsive. The Exchange server is fully patched with all priority windows updates, and I am running the very latest version of Retrospect.
