How do you skip a file while restoring from a backup

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have the task of restoring years of old archives back from the mid to late 1990's. I tried restoring an entire set at a time but have ran into files that would hang the restore process. Then I tried multiple folders in the set and have also ran into the same issue. It would restore hundreds/thousands of files and then get stuck on a file that it couldn't restore. I would have to cancel the restore, run the search for everything again and go in and exclude the file that it got stuck on before. I would do this many times and it's really time consuming.

Is there a way for me to skip a file during restore that Retrospect is stuck on?

Mac OS 9

Retrospect 5.1

DDS2 tapes

Thanks in advance for any help.
