Retro Pro 7.7 Fails (Catalog File, Error -1103 Write Protected) With Single User Logged In

Just in case someone is interested:

 

The error "Catalog File, Error -1103 Write Protected" im my case (Windows XP SP3) went away when the virus protection (Kasperky Security Suite 11.0.2.556) was turned off.

 

As this is no permanent solution, Kaspersky can be configured to exempt Retrospect from monitoring permanently:

 

- Right click on Kaspersky icon in system tray

- Select "Program ..." under "Tools"

- Double click on "Retrospect"

- Select "Exceptions"

- Enable (as a first guess) all exceptions for Restrospect

- Click "Ok"

 

After that error -1103 did not show-up anymore.
