Maperror: Unknown Mac Error 20

Recommended Posts

I'm seeing the message "MapError: unknown Mac error 20" in my log files when backing up a user folder on the server itself, but Retrospect appears to be successfully completing the backup in spite of it:

- 7/16/11 8:38:28 PM: Copying localuser
   MapError: unknown Mac error 20
   7/16/11 8:45:08 PM: Snapshot stored, 144.1 MB
   7/16/11 8:45:19 PM: Comparing localuser
7/16/11 8:45:59 PM: Execution completed successfully
Completed: 283 files, 242.4 MB, with 35% compression
   Performance: 372.8 MB/minute (382.7 copy, 372.8 compare)
   Duration: 00:07:30 (00:06:12 idle/loading/preparing)

Should I be concerned? :)

Have you had any problems performing full restore tests (assuming you've done them) after encountering this error?

I have not performed a full restore, just partial.

I do always verify my backups and they verify fine (except the normal reports about log files that has changed).

I get this error every time I run a backup. Retrospect phone support blames it on the mac os and says that it has nothing to do with Retrospect. Does anyone else know how to fix this error. Being that the Retrospect logging is already difficult to read I'd like to get rid of anything that isn't necessary.

Here's what the Console has to say.
