b8106544-34a1-4952-9699-6264f8d0ab98
I have a X Serve that backs up incremental data (Only New Data) to 2 different Lacie Hard Drives each week. I swap out one for the other each monday. I am getting ready to delete 700 gb of data from the server and the two Lacie Drives 2TB only have 23 gb on each Lacie. Will I need to delete all the data on the two drives so it will start over or is there a feature that will see the data has been delete and it will rewrite?????? Lennart_T
is there a feature that will see the data has been delete and it will rewrite?????? No, of course not! Retrospect doesn't know if you really delete those files on purpose and you don't want them back. In fact, Retrospect tries very hard to keep all files you have ever backed up. Concerning the low price of hard drives these days, I think you should store the backups you now have off site and buy two new hard drives.
