261c5566-ef5a-439d-85d7-26953c37971d
Hello, after uninstalling Roxio Retrospect 8 Management Console and Retrospect Engine with the uninstaller and the instructions in Retrospect Read Me the Retrospect client is still on my MacBook Pro 10.6. How can I uninstall the client. I think its more than just moving it into the trash since the client has root rights..? Thank you! twickland
How can I uninstall the client. Run the client installer software and select "Uninstall" in place of "Easy Install."
Guest Steve Maser
If that doesn't work, there's an applescript-based uninstaller available here: http://forums.dantz.com/showtopic.php?tid/32861/post/133289/#133289

I hope the applescript is doing the job. Thank you very much!

Lennart_T
How do you get this popup? I see only the attached screenshots. Thanks! I see. It turns out I have an older installer, version 6.2.234. Maybe if you run that version, it will uninstall your version, too?
Mayoff
If you do not see the uninstall option, then please try the applescript previously suggested.

Lennart_T
Tried to get the uninstaller script via this link. It's broken. Can you repost the link? The link worked just fine for me. 137491E8199B8DE1E040000A2A666149
The link worked just fine for me. (But the old forum server is slow, so be patient while the page loads.) The link is now broken. I realize the Applescript is unsupported officially, but it sure would be useful to clean my system up. A full uninstaller is a mandatory feature of all modern software, guys. Lennart_T
The link is now broken. It isn't broken now. I attach it here:
welchgregusa
It's been a while since the last post on this...but...I cannot figure out how to uninstall the Retrospect 8 client! The latest installer (for 8) does not come with an uninstaller script, despite the manual saying it does. The client installer does not include an uninstall option. The above Applescript link is broken, and I don't see any way to grab the above attachment (Lennart)—all I see is text indicating there was an attachment (""). Any suggestions appreciated. David W Lee
To uninstall Retrospect Client for Mac: 1. Download the latest Retrospect Client for Mac from http://retrospect.com/en/support/downloads 2. From the downloaded dmg > Mac Client Installers > Mac Client Installer (Intel) > Uninstall OS X Client
