multiple backup server scripts + proactive backup req

My department has our own retrospect server that backs us up. Addidionally, the IT department also has a fully licensed retrospect server system that backs up the entire building. If our backup server works at the same time as the IT server and each system is set up to backup clients about 1 time per week, will each comptuer be backed up by both servers each week?

 

Is this the same as having multiple backup server scripts on the same machine - each pointing the backup data to different backup sets?
