sune42
Hi When I look at my CPU usage on my server or look into the SQL server activities using SQL Server profiler , I see that Retrospect is polling my SQL server every 10-15 seconds and runs queries against every database. This is VERY annoying and is it possible to change the frequency of these polls? or turn them off? I don't use the SQL backup option right now. My CPU usage diagam in the task manager looks like a heart-beat diagram from a hospital!. //andy
AmyJ
Hi Andy - Go to the Retrospect application folder and open the Retro.ini file. Increase the value of: SQLPollInterval=15000 The value is in milliseconds. Amy
tblakely
Is there an equivalent setting in Retrospect 6.0? I didn't see it in C:\Program Files\Dantz\Retrospect\retro.ini. Thanks
AmyJ
Retrospect 6.0 did not include SQL support. It was not introduced until 6.5. I believe the SQLPollInterval line item only works in Retrospect 7.5.
