pamsmith
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but this a 12th hour request! My place of work has Retrospect with DDS drives. I have a DDS2 tape that won't re-catalogue from either the cat file or the tape it's self. It just sits there for hours! I have been told that there is a way to retrieve the files one at a time. How do I go about doing this? I'm running OS9, Retrospect 4.3A with DDS 2 / 4 drives. ANY help would be amazing and make a very happy client! Cheers, Pam Smith
nekr0phage
Hi Pam, Sorry to say, any retrieval of files will require that you already have a working catalog that Retrospect can access. If you are having problems recataloging you should try to verify whether or not there is a hardware problem. Try a backup/restore/recatalog with different tapes to see if reading and writing can still be performed.
