etiffany
The "support" for intel macs was just announced. How bloody useless is this: > Backing up an Intel-based Mac to a Windows-based Retrospect backup server is not supported. How does that qualify as "certified", and what does it mean that it's "not supported"? What doesn't work, and why wouldn't the same client software (that works properly on a PPC mac) be able to back up to a Windows server? When will it be supported? There's something fishy about this. rudyg
I am confused. I have been backing up two Intel iMacs through a Retrospect setup that runs on a Windows server. The system backs up both Windows and Mac clients (mostly G5s). The backup does fail occasionally on the Intels, but then, it fails on other machines as well occasionally (more often than I would like, truth to tell). What gives?... It may or may not work, but don't call us if it doesn't because we haven't a clue? RG
