jaycee
Hi all, And happy new year to all... I have a problem when I try to restore an exchange store, but it fails everytime, and i cannot do anything with it. Is there a way I can get the files .EDB and .STM out of the backup and put them by hand to get them work? I get errors 3637 and 1001 (no information on it ) Thanx in advance!!! natew
Hi No. Retrospect uses Exchange APIs to copy the databases. It can't restore them as a flat file. Have you tried deleting any existing exchange stores before running the restore? Thanks nate
jaycee
Hi, Thanx for answering Yes I tried deleting the stores before, not much more luck... I'm thinking at last resort going to ArcServe :/ or Acronis TrueImage...
natew
Hi Are Exchange services running when you try the restore? Are you restoring to a machine with an Active directory setup that matches the one you backed up? Nate
jaycee
Thanx for the reply, actually the machine crashed, all was reinstalled/restored, apart from public folders :/ Anyway we gave out, and dump an old file backup of it. Moving on to BAB now, where we can proove we can restore .... Thanx again! Jaycee
