BitPusher Posted January 5, 2006 Report Share Posted January 5, 2006 Can an external Firewire hard drive be configured to work like a removable media device or must all potential member disks for a disk backup set be powered up and daisy-chained together when starting a backup that will fill a disk? I searched the Knowledge Base and the forum but I didn't see this topic discussed. Since the external Firewire hard disks are supposedly "hot swappable" it seems to me that this could be made to work, but I don't know if Retrospect supports that type of operation. If not, I suggest that as a feature for a future release. This is really for planning purposes as I don't have this problem yet. Thank You, Carl E.
