LeDonaldo
Today I twice tried to use Retrospect Pro, v.7 to backup 30 gigs from C: to an external drive. Both times I got only a catalogue file. The previous two backups produced a Backup and a matching Backup Set catalog file. For example, Backup 1 and Backup Set A. Shouldn't I have a "Backup 3" file to go with the Backup Set C catalog file? I don't know whether this is a separate problem, but the first attempt completed in c.20 minutes; the second attempt took 3:05! At the end the performance was under 400MB/min. SYSTEM IBM Z Pro; dual Xeons @ 2.4 ghz; 2 gigs RAM; Win XP Pro External drive is a Seagate in an enclosure, connected via USB Any help would be very much appreciated. natew
Hi You created a disk backup set and added the external drive as a member of the backup set right? Any chance you accidentaly chose to store the backup on your internal drive? Backup files are stored in a folder called Retrospect. There will be a bunch of .rbf files in there a few directories down. Thanks Nate
