bravotech
With multi-server edition running on the server, is it possible to view the History Tab from a workstation? Currently, I run a RDP/TS session in order to view the history.
natew
Hi You want to view the history tab only? What information are you looking for? Have you considered using Reports Watcher? It exports the backup report to HTML so you can see it easily from other machines. Nate
bravotech
The reason I'm looking into remotely viewing history tab, as opposed to using report watcher: 1. at-a-glance overview of last x number of sessions in chronological order 2. drill-down capabilities 3. remote admin has consistent user interface with what the local operator sees. In fact, it'd be extremely helpful, if the Activity Monitor can be made a stand-alone executable and run remotely, tap into the actual computer running Retrospect. TWO scenarios where this feature is needed: 1. multi-server retrospect running on Win2003/SBS2003, officer manager needs to monitor status of backup and alert out-sourced admin if need be. 2. Local office manager/operator has full access to retrospect console using Professional edition. Remote out-sourced admin needs to monitor the backup, without taking over the user session. natew
Hi Unfortunately this is not currently included in Retrospect. You would need to remote access the machine in order to see this information. The only other suggestion I have would be to open the backup report.utx file in excel and sort by date. That will give you a list of the last backup for all sources. Thanks nate
