tax
Hello I need to backup a MySQL database, running as a service. I know that I need to stop the service before the backup starts. Does anyone know how to make a script to automate this. ( something like Dantz's script to stop Lotus Domino Server - included in Dantz Retropesct) My computer and english skills are very low. thank you for your help. natew
Hi A better way is to tell SQL to export the database to a regular file every day. Retrospect can then back up that file without any special scripts. Thanks nate
tax
Hello. I can tell MySQL to export the data. But I don't know how to automate this process. A simple script to stop and restart MySQL service is probably a better solution, but I don´t have the necessary computer skills. thank you any
natew
Hi I'm pretty sure it can be scheduled within SQL. Check the documentation. Thanks nate
