405HP_Z06 Posted September 4, 2005 Report Share Posted September 4, 2005 I'm having a problem with Retrospect Professional not seeing any backup devices. I can see and access all devices through the system, but Retrospect reports 'No Devices Visible' no matter what I do. The system particulars: Gigabyte GA K8N Pro-SLI Motherboard nVidia NForce 4 chipset with the latest drivers and bios AMD Athlon 64 3000+ socket 939 Windows XP SP2 CD-R and DVD-R are on IDE channel 2 External Sony AIT4 tape drive connected to Adaptec 29160 SCSI card in 33 Mhz PCI slot on SCSI device ID 5, card is device ID 7 29160 and tape drive have most recent drivers and firmware C: drive is on SATA channel 0 It seems like a driver compatability issue because none of the devices controlled by the Nvidia NForce 4 chipeset are visible to Retrospect even though all can be seen/used through the system.
