drowland
Hello, We are experiencing an issue where, after backing up the Exchange Server, using Retrospect 6.5.350 on the same Windows 2003 Server, we receive this error: "Retrospect has encountered a serious error: Assertion failure at "wdbd_exchange.cpp-2278" I have seen the posts at http://forums.dantz.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=45987&page=&view=&sb=5&o= and have tried the solutions presented there, with no sucess. Backing up individual mailboxes workes, but does not backup or clear the Exchange log files, causing the HD to quickly fill with 5MB log files. We get this error with a new script, new backup set, blank/erased media (backing up to tape). Since the error only occurs when attempting to backup the Exchange Server (files?) and not the individual mailboxes, which read/copy OK (until the very end), I can only conclude it has something to do with backing up/deleting the log files for Exchange. We are desperate, and your help is greatly appreciated! Sincerley, David Rowland ivxx@shaw.ca davidr@westworld.ca
natew
Hi If you run a backup of the exchange databases with the built in NT backup utility do you still get errors? Can you try the trial version of Retrospect 7? It may help. Thanks Nate
