today
In my logs, whenever I do a full backup of any database, I get messages like the following 2005-04-01 6:45:00 PM: Copying master on Surf 2005-04-01 6:45:00 PM: Connected to Surf T-8: (4,035) - Processed 1552 pages for database 'master', file 'master' on file 1. 2005-04-01 6:45:15 PM: Execution completed successfully Completed: 1 files, 13.0 MB Performance: 156.0 MB/minute Duration: 00:00:15 (00:00:10 idle/loading/preparing) But whenever I do incremental backups, no matter how large the changes to the database or how long it takes, I get the following 2005-04-01 7:00:00 PM: Copying PLANS on Surf 2005-04-01 7:00:00 PM: Connected to Surf T-9: (4,035) - Processed 9592 pages for database 'PLANS', file 'PLANSDat.mdf' on file 1. 2005-04-01 7:00:22 PM: Execution completed successfully Completed: 1 files, zero KB Performance: 0.0 MB/minute Duration: 00:00:21 (00:00:07 idle/loading/preparing) Are my incremental backups really happening? Is this merely a Retrospect bug? This is 6.5.
natew
Hi I wonder if the transactions haven't been committed to the database yet? Have you tried running a log backup? Do you get the same results in the Retrospect log then? Thanks Nate
