Skoman
Hello all, We have a new user whose mailbox is not getting backed up. I see the "Execution incomplete" message in the client and an Error 3405 in the logfile. Their entry appears 7 or 8 times per backup (I'm assuming it keeps retrying). I haven't seen that error 3405 anywhere else, and I've done a knowledgebase and forum search. There are no errors or unusual events in the event log. Here is a snippet of the logfile (error in red): + Normal backup using $[1]Mailboxes - Sunday$[2] at 1/30/2005 3:28 AM (Execution unit 1) To Backup Set $[01]$[*!20602,,14,+3]MailBoxes$[02]... - 1/30/2005 3:28:02 AM: Copying $[*!20964,,14,+3]Jane Doe$[3] on XYZ1$[4] 1/30/2005 3:28:02 AM: Connected to $[*!20780,,14,+3]XYZ1 1/30/2005 3:29:09 AM: Snapshot stored, 115 KB 1/30/2005 3:29:14 AM: Comparing $[*!20964,,14,+3]Jane Doe$[3] on XYZ1$[4] 1/30/2005 3:29:30 AM: Execution completed successfully $[127515292822080000] Completed: 17 files, 1,420 KB Performance: 10.4 MB/minute (5.5 copy, 83.2 compare) Duration: 00:01:12 (00:00:56 idle/loading/preparing) + Normal backup using $[1]Mailboxes - Sunday$[2] at 1/30/2005 3:36 AM (Execution unit 1) To Backup Set $[01]$[*!20602,,14,+3]MailBoxes$[02]... - 1/30/2005 3:36:12 AM: Copying $[*!20964,,14,+3]New User$[3] on XYZ1$[4] 1/30/2005 3:36:12 AM: Connected to $[*!20780,,14,+3]XYZ1 $[*20750] Scanning incomplete, error -3405 (unknown) $[127515297720800000] + Normal backup using $[1]Mailboxes - Sunday$[2] at 1/30/2005 3:38 AM (Execution unit 1) To Backup Set $[01]$[*!20602,,14,+3]MailBoxes$[02]... - 1/30/2005 3:38:54 AM: Copying $[*!20964,,14,+3]John Doe$[3] on XYZ1$[4] 1/30/2005 3:38:54 AM: Connected to $[*!20780,,14,+3]XYZ1 1/30/2005 3:39:58 AM: Snapshot stored, 18 KB 1/30/2005 3:40:03 AM: Comparing $[*!20964,,14,+3]John Doe$[3] on XYZ1$[4] 1/30/2005 3:40:20 AM: Execution completed successfully $[127515299342070000] Completed: 9 files, 1,292 KB Performance: 11.6 MB/minute (5.8 copy, 75.7 compare) Duration: 00:01:08 (00:00:55 idle/loading/preparing) Any ideas? natew
Hi There may be some corruption in that mailbox. Try exporting the mailbox to a pst file and then importing the data back in again. That can often clear up any problems with a corrupt mailbox. Thanks Nate
Skoman
I have trouble believing the mailbox would be corrupt so soon, but I will try that. Thanks!
