Today I upgraded from Retrospect 4.3 to 5.1.117 and installed a new LaCie D2 Extreme FW 800/400 USB 2.0 250 GB drive. After five minutes, the backup script hangs, claiming that the target disk is busy. It wants me to select another volume! Here is the screen shot text: BACK UP 1A [002] Please select a new disk... It will be named "1-BACK UP 1A [002]" About 2.8 G remaining to store. BACK UP 1 230 GB Busy FireWire (v1.2.3) Here is the screen shot itself: I welcome your assistance and suggestions as to how I might clear this logjam! Thanks. natew Posted January 4, 2005 Report Share Posted January 4, 2005 Hi You cannot use hard disks with removeable disk backup sets in Retrospect 5.1.
