natew
Hi What _exactly_ does retrospect say it is waiting for? Do you ever run recycle backups? Thanks Nate
ronnyec
Hi Nate, I'm studing the situation, and now I have 3 problems: 1. when I logout from the server, retrospect doesn't start a planified backup! 2. In the operation log I don't find an error number about what he is waiting for... I can read only "time of attended support past due". 3. Today I receive a message error from retrospect "droxy.cpp-1438" with an "assert_log.utx" I have retrospect 6.5.336 in Italian. natew
Hi I have never seen this type of assert error before. Try this: Stay logged in but keep Retrospect closed. Will Retrospect launch at the correct time in this situation? Thanks Nate
ronnyec
Hi, when I stay logged ... it's better. Sometimes the retrospecthandler.bat doesn't start ... the script start, backup, check, but cannot send a email to confirm -> He wait restrospecthandler.bat. The strange is that for 3-4 week it's all ok (without problem) and perhaps a day after it doesn't start the email. He wait. How can I configure to skip the retrospecthandler.bat event after 1 hour? The server is 80 km far, and we want a email notification every day (good or problem). Thank's Ronny
natew
Hi I see now. The event handler script may be part of the problem. Are you using the VBS event handler or the batch file? The VBS version may work better. Retrospect 7 has notification for sucessful backup built in. You may want to download the trial version to see if it works better for you.
