Error Ejecting Media in Windows Server 2012
robert.wayne posted a topic in Server, SBS and Multi Server
I apologize for the cross-post; however, I originally posted this in the wrong forum.... We have two installs of Retrospect 8.1.0 (266); one is running on Windows SBS 2011 and the other is running on Windows Server 2012. Our installation on SBS 2011 is working just fine. Backups run as scheduled and media is ejected afterwards. However, on our Windows Server 2012 install, the backups run as scheduled but the RD1000 media will not eject automatically. Instead, we receive an error message stating that there was an Error Ejecting Media and that it is in use. We have to stop the Retrospect software and then manually eject the media from Windows Explorer and then restart the Retrospect software. Has anyone run into this issue before? Any insight is greatly appreciated. -
Hi there I'm using Retrospect for mac 10.5 with a Quantum Scalar i40. Im using 2,9TB LTO-5 Tapes. Within a Media Set I have 9 Tapes. By my calculations 9 X 2,9TB = 26,1TB. However Retrospect seems to be doing different mathamatics? (12,9TB) What am I missing? Please see screenshots attached:

Tape ejecting when not at full capacity - help
charlietango posted a topic in Retrospect 6: Desktop, Workgroup and Server for Mac OS X
With my last few backup attempts, the tape has not been holding the full capacity of the tape size and ejects informing it is full and needs an second tape to finish the backup. Yesterday I started a 653G backup, put an LTO 4 tape in that holds 800G uncompressed. Today the backup had written 492G and had ejected with 161G remaining and needed a new tape to finish the backup. Not sure why this is happening. Thoughts anyone?? Thanks! Retrospect v 6.1.126
