  1. I installed Comodo Firewall and it's blocking connection to my multicast clients. Does anyone know which ports to allow in Comodo Firewall to allow the connection to multicast clients? My direct connections work fine. Thanks.
  2. I've turned off the firewall on my Retrospect server. The Apple (OS X) clients still do not appear. When I try broadcast none of my clients appear.
  3. We just recently switched over to a DHCP network and I'm unable to see my Mac clients (OS X) in the multicast list. I can see all of my Windows clients. I've temporarily turned off the firewall on the Mac clients so I've verified that it's not a firewall issue. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  4. Unfortunately, I have no control over the DHCP configuration. Is there a way to configure this in Retrospect to make it network independant?
  5. Hello. I recently migrated to a DHCP network and I'm consistently loosing connections to my backup clients. What is the best way to configure Retrospect to connect to backup clients on a DHCP network (changing hostnames and IP addresses). Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  6. What operating system version are the clients using? - Windows XP, OS X. It's happened on both. What exactly do you see on the screen during this closing phase? - In the executing tab of the activity monitor the status is on closing. There's nothing abnormal on the screen. Does it happen with multiple backup sets? - Yes. I've created new backup sets and it happened again. I've also created new scripts. Thanks for your help.
  7. After installing the latest update, my nightly backup gets stuck on closing random clients. The only way I can get out of it is by closing Retrospect in the Task Manager. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm running Retrospect Multiserver 7.5.508, driver update and hotfix 7.5.13.100. Thanks

    Backup Client Reserved

I recently upgraded my clients to 7.0.112. Now for some reason my backup clients are sporadically not getting backed up. I am seeing the message - Can't access volume volume_name on client_name, error -505 (backup client reserved). Does anyone know what is causing this? This didn't start happening until I upgraded them to 7.0.112. Thanks!
  9. Thanks. However, I don't see an way to make it show the elapsed days since the last successful backup. Does anyone know a way to force this option?
  10. Hello. I have configured my Backup Reports to show elapsed days since the last backup and I also have Retrospect configured to export the Backup Report to a file. For some reason, the exported report doesn't show the elapsed days. Does anyone know how to configure this? Does anyone have any suggestions for configuring Retrospect to export backup reports that contain elapsed days? Thanks!
  11. Does anyone know where to located the latest .RCU (client updater) files for Mac OS X? I can't seem to find the .RCU files to update my clients to the latest Client version 6. Thanks!
  12. Hello. I have configured my Backup Reports to show elapsed days since the last backup and I also have Retrospect configured to export the Backup Report to a file. For some reason, the exported report doesn't show the elapsed days. Does anyone know how to configure this? Ideally I would like to create a script to view the report to e-mail me the names of PCs that haven't been backed up in X number of days. Does anyone have any suggestions for configuring Retrospect to export backup reports that contain elapsed days? Thanks!
