  1. I get the following error when backing up our server: Component "TLSLic" backup failed, error -1017 (insufficient permissions). Any ideas what causes this?
  2. I get the following error: Scanning incomplete, error -3407 (unknown) when backing up my exchange server. This is only happening to a few users mailboxes, any ideas what causes this?
  3. What is the difference between the option log/incremental & differential?
  4. We want to move a backup script and its files to a different retrospect backup server. How can we move this without having to do a new full backup? I would like the server to recognize the backup set and cataloge file. Dan
  5. We recently had our retrospect server die. We did a disaster recovery off of a backup from two days previous to the failure. After we brought the server back up it did not recognize any of the backups from the day of the server failure, because we restored off a backup from two days previous. Is ther any way to force retrospect to see the backups????

  7. Last night I had to do a full system disaster recovery restore on a computer running SQL Server 2000. The restore went great except when trying to start the SQL service I get the following error: "An error 3 (The system cannot find the path specified) occurred while performing this service operation on the MSSQLServer service. " Any ideas would be great... Specs: Windows Server 2000 SP4, SQL Server 2000

    Backup Sets Move Question

I am moving the backup set to new a new media source.....
  11. I am moving a backup set from one backup server to another. This also involves moving the backup set to a new storage location. What is the process to make the new backup server recognize the current backup set on the new storage media. I am having an issue with the members properties when I attempt to do this. Dan
  12. We are planning on moving our 3 retrospect servers into 1 new retrospect server. How can we move the backup sets to the new server without uncompressing the files? Is their anyway to keep the preferences that each servers backup has? Any suggestions would be great.

  15. Is there anyway to copy a current backup set from a primary backup server and place it on a secondary backup server, then re-start the backups on the secondary backup server and have normall backups as if they were being done on the primary backup server.? All doing this without re-running a full backup. I want to replace my primary backup server without rerunning full backups, I would like to just update the old backupset
