  1. So, I thought I had figured out the new scheduling syntax, but alas...... I have a proactive script set to run M-F from 8 PM to 8 AM the next day....... SO WHY did it start running a backup at 445 PM? It is causing me much disruption and grief. I'm considering other incremental backup solutions even though I've been using Retrospect for many years.
  2. Thanks! Boy do I wish that they had kept the scheduling of version 6. What were they thinking? I have been pulling my hair out with the new version, not only does it keep resetting what I tell it in the scheduling panel.... it starts a backup WHILE I'M EDITING THE SCRIPT !!!! DUMB DUMB DUMB... I'm using portable home folders on OSX 10.6, and syncing really gets screwed up if Retrospect is backing up when my users start logging in and syncing with the server, which never happened in v 6 since everything would nicely wrap up and stop when I told it to....
  3. I suppose so, since the new method of setting start and stop times is very limited. For example, how do I tell it to start at 8 pm and stop at 8am the next day? It seems to assume that I mean the same day as the start time, but there is no obvious option to set the day of the stop time different than the day of the start time.... Am I missing something? Or is the software?
  4. Ok, Thanks for the info...... Does the hard cut create any known issues? I'm backing up 10 clients each night, in v6 I had one script for all, but should I have a script for each in v9 to take advantage of multi-threading?
  5. I'm seeing this also, just upgraded from v6, and v9 seems pretty unstable comparatively.
  6. I would like to setup a daily backup in v9 that will only be active from 8 pm to 8am M-F and 24hours on SS. This was very straightforward in version 6, but how do I do this in v9?

Thanks! I did not notice that.......
