  1. No I am afraid this is with all clients. There is definitely no problem with the disks. As Retrospect 7.6 has no problem running the same backup.
  2. (1) complete version number of Retrospect VERSION 7.7.325 (64Bit) (2) complete version number of Retrospect Driver Update VERSION 7.7.2.100 (64BIT) (3) complete version number of the OS WINDOWS SERVER 2008 SP2 (4) complete description of hardware being used INTEL MAC PRO (BOOTCAMP) (My colleague is the States have this exact issue is on an HP Proliant) (5) complete description of the steps you are doing BACKUP FROM CLIENT (w2008 64bit EMZ Client version 7.7.106) NEW DISK BACKUP (to Local Hard disk) or DUPLICATION (to Local Hard disk) (6) complete description of the problem After approx 500GB of transfer, every file after gets the error -1019 ( not enough resources) Now for my own questions: (7) What kind of backup set? DISK & Duplication (8) How many files are we talking about? 2.5TB (total) over 200,000 files. thanks
  3. Installed on Windows 2008 64bit, running Disk backup, after approx 500GB of backing up , every remaining file gets the... can't read, error -1019 (not enough resources) More often that not when you run the backup again it will start from the beginning again. Occasionally it will recognize the items already backed up. This is not a backup solution this is a headache. Whats more a colleague in the states is have exactly the same issue, same config, different hardware. Anyone seeing similar and any ideas about a fix. I am attempting a Dup of the drives as I need some kind of backup, if this bombs out at <>500GB I will post that, but then I am over a week with no backups!
  4. Yes it does, but...I want to be able to allow the 'transfer to tape' to run within the working hours Only, so that the backup to disk can start to run end of day as normal. However because the transfer to Tape is slower than the backup to disk, it would run for much longer in order to complete. And interfere with my backup to disks backups: like this: Retrospect Server 1 Backup Fileservers Proactivly between 7pm and 7am Retrospect Server 2 Transfers Backup set to tape between 7:30am and 6:30pm Each script picks up where it left of the day before....am I barking (mad) up the wrong tree.
  5. I should have said can't seem to, But I think you got that. Well the reason I would like to, is so that one server backs up Files and folders to disk during the night, then the other server transfers those backups to tape during the day.
  6. I have 2 servers running retrospect 7.6, one has a SDLT Autoloader and one had !!TB Raid Drive. I want to run Proactove 1/day on my File aervers between the hours of 7pm and 7am to the 11TB drive. Then running Proactive Backup set transfers from the 11TB drive to Tape during the hours 7:30am and 6:30 pm. The problems are: 1.I have to share the Retrospect Catalogue file for both servers to see it. 2. I am backing up over 8 TB of data that takes about a week. 3. I can seem to be able to make transfering backupsets proactive. I am sure there are more holes in my idea than I realise, any help/advise would be appreciated. D
